Injection Coke / Injection Carbon
Pulverised carbon for PCI and EAF recarburising.
Injection coke is ground to a fine, controlled granulometry so it can be pneumatically injected, whether through blast furnace tuyeres as part of a pulverised coal/coke injection (PCI) system to displace some of the coke burden, or into an electric arc or induction furnace as a fast-dissolving carbon raiser.
Low moisture and consistent fixed carbon matter more here than in lump coke, because both PCI lances and furnace injection systems are sensitive to feed variability.
